Junior School

This programme helps  to address the unique learning styles of young students at a crucial stage in their development. It provides a transition from the protective, guided environment of the first programme to the departmentalised high school. I

Curriculum

The Middle School works to provide a balance between attention to basics, coverage of necessary skills and knowledge. At this stage students explore a wide variety of interests and experiences. The curriculum is based on a core of courses in English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, third language and the arts.

Anchor Language Arts

In the sixth through eighth grades, students read and experience a variety of literary genres. At the same time, all students are taught how to write cogent, clear and precise prose and how to revise and edit their writing using correct usage, punctuation, grammar and spelling.
The English language art programme has assumed exciting new dimensions by integrating technology into the study of language and literature. The 6th grade explores a literary piece through computer programmes designed to highlight the changes, analyse texts, reveal the numerous illustrations included in editions over the years.

Social Studies

The Middle School social studies programme strives to familiarise students with the basic tools, vocabulary, and skills of the social scientist, and to make students aware of different ideas and cultures around the world, past and present. The programme encourages students to address a question, “How do we know about the past?” Through the curriculum, they learn that new discoveries by archaeologist, scientists, and historians change our view of history and that historical understanding matures and evolves.
The integration of technology makes the exploration of the world an interactive process.
The fourth grade students explore the various formations of the clouds with the help of specialised multimedia programmes prepared by the teachers, while the sixth graders investigate the ancient civilizations.

Mathematics

Through the Maths program, students develop concepts of number, geometry and measurement and establish skills in algebraic computation. The curriculum also provides experience in problem solving. The goal is for students to calculate accurately and to be able to assess whether their answers are reasonable. Students discover the relationship between logical, numerical and spatial concepts. Students learn through manipulation and by examination of the effects on the physical world. Learning is structured around the problem and the methods used to solve it and includes the study of lines and angles, closed plane figures, circles and triangles, ratios and proportions, analytic geometry, simultaneous equations, functions etc

Science

The students are exposed to the major disciplines in the sciences to provide increased understanding of the world around them and how their bodies work. The science programme is geared to provide students with the basic skills of scientific methodology.
Students use the computer as a tool, to pursue a study of food webs, motion and growth, and the structure of matter.

Library

The well-stocked, well-furnished school library is aesthetically designed to encourage research and independent study. It provides a comfortable and quiet bower for those looking to get lost in the world of distant seas or mysteries of a different world. Apart from a vast collection of books and periodicals the library has a Resource Centre with reference material.
The students are encouraged to pick up a book of their choice after completing the assigned tasks. Innovative Projects like the Reading Projects are used to inculcate the reading habit in students.

Sports

Sports form an integral part of the school curriculum and the school has provision for Skating, Yoga and Taekwondo. Students are encouraged to participate in all the sports. Apart from physical and mental fitness and recreation this also provides students valuable lessons in team spirit, sportsmanship, fair play, respect for others, discipline, boosts self-esteem and leadership skills.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts such as theatre, mimes, musical theatre, dance, music, acting, magic and circus acts help develop body awareness and encourage creative expressions. Our trained and experienced faculty aims to bring out the best in each student by giving them various opportunities to express themselves. The holistic spectrum of Indian classical, contemporary and modern forms or the fusion of the notes and rhythm provide ample options for students to choose from and pursue in their own unique style. Performing arts being an integral part of education provides students with the opportunity to engage the mind, the body, and emotions. Students can explore and express great themes and ideas through their performance. This allows children to develop their self- confidence and self- belief.

Computer Lab

Well equipped computer labs with high quality computers and carefully monitored internet connectivity provide our children the opportunity for research in addition to preparing them for the IT driven world. Robotics is also a part of curriculum to take the students to the world of AI. Technology doesn’t drive change, it enables change.

Maths Lab

The concept of Mathematics Laboratory is learning by doing. The students are encouraged to talk, think, discuss and comprehend mathematical concepts through activities and experiments. The carefully designed activities are planned and executed for experiential learning, discovery method and synthesis of gained knowledge. Math Lab Activities are conducted regularly.

Art

Drawing is one of the most important activities as it not only provides the basis for other creative activities – like painting, sculpture and printmaking – but it is also linked with reading, writing, mathematics or science etc. There is a connection between drawing and geometric shapes and measurements of art available. It’s been proven that early exposure to visual art, music, or drama promotes activity in the brain. Art nurtures inventiveness and creative expression as it engages children in a process that aids in the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, self-motivation and catharsis.
